X-Cite® offers a wide selection of illumination systems to meet your application needs ranging from the X-Cite® 120Q best used for routine fluorescence imaging and the X-Cite® 120PC for shuttered illumination through several software applications; the X-Cite® 200DC is suitable for short-exposure imaging and the X-Cite® exacte for long-term stability and time-lapse studies. Power Measurement in Fluorescence Imaging
The X-Cite® Power Measurement System measures optical power where it matters most — at the objective plane. With consistent illumination levels, reproducible imaging results can be ensured while increasing the integrity of your research. Whether you use a lamp, LED or laser, the X-Cite® power meter can measure light intensity from a light guide or at the end of a specific objective.

One of our most recently developed products, the X-Cite® 120LED, takes fluorescence illumination to a whole new level. This is LED illumination without compromise. This LED microscope illuminator provides exceptional optical power and superior specimen level field uniformity. The X-Cite® 120LED offers PC, TTL and manual control to provide the broadest fluorescence illumination spectrum. With LEDs guaranteed to last at least 25,000 hours and no modules or lamps needing regular replacement, this is the ideal LED microscope illuminator for the busy lab. With convenience derived from simplicity of design, the X-Cite® 120LED will allow researchers the freedom to focus on their work rather than maintaining their equipment.
The X-Cite® 120Q delivers rich spectral excitation energy using its 120-watt lamp. This microscope illuminator hits the sample plain with uniform wide-field fluorescence microscope illumination. The bulb with our patented Intelli-Lamp®, provides more than 2000 hours of life, is easy to change through a simple, single-step process. The user can also customize the level of illumination with the optional adjustable iris. The X-Cite® 120Q microscope illuminator is ideally suited for fluorescence microscopes being used in routine assays and for use as an excitation light source in multi-user facilities.
X-Cite® 120PC Q
The X-Cite® 120PC Q provides all the benefits of the X-Cite® 120Q fluorescence illumination system, plus the benefits of a computer controlled microscope light source. This microscope illuminator has the same rich spectral sample excitation as the X-Cite® 120Q, with its pre-aligned lamps, 2000 hour lamp lifetime, uniformly illuminated view, and adjustable iris. The RS-232 communication and command set is a straightforward means of integrating this microscope illuminator into both automated systems and commercially available imaging software systems.
The X-Cite® 200DC is a fluorescence microscope illuminator system that combines optical performance, a built-in shutter, and short term stability to create the ultimate in flourescence illumination. The X-Cite® 200DC maintains the high standards for quality and durability that characterize all X-Cite® systems. Convenient to use, with asuperior illumination uniformity, this is as intuitive and easy-to-use a flourescence illumination system as you will find on the market. Its light guide auto-detection ensures optimized light coupling every time you use it. The X-Cite® 200DC is ideal for both experienced and novice microscopists. The smooth 0-100 percent intensity adjustment, coupled with its expanded spectral range, give this advanced DC stabilized fluorescence illumination source the flexibility to meet a variety of project needs.
The X-Cite® exacte is an ultra-stable fluorescence microscope light source. It provides unparalleled short and long-term intensity stability due to its DC-powered mercury lamp and Lumen Dynamics’ proprietary Closed-Loop Feedback technology. These qualities ensure that this flourescence illumination system can reliably perform imaging protocols lasting anywhere from milliseconds to days. When combined with the X-Cite® Optical Power Measurement System, it can calibrate light output in absolute power units (watts).
