We’re currently scouting for a

Technical Sales and Support Representative, Northern California

...responsible for direct sales to our client base in the well developed region of northern California (90%) and supporting our key channel partner in southern California (10%). Reporting to the USA Sales Manager, you will manage key accounts and be responsible for achieving sales targets and increasing market share in northern California. You will be involved in the development of customer plans including all trade show activities. You will implement strategies, execute activities and evaluate promotions results. In addition, you will be involved in sales forecasting and client business reviews.

You must have proven skills in the areas of sales, business development & key account management in order to be successful in this position. You should be degree qualified with at least 3-5 years experience in Sales and Key Account management; preferably within the healthcare and/or medical device manufacturing industry. Travel via car is expected throughout California — primarily focused in northern California.

You must have a strong personal presence with good networking, influencing and communication skills. You must be operationally hands-on, organized, highly motivated and energetic; able to work with a disciplined approach towards sales.

If your track record shows you can...

  • Be responsible for client sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Deliver the revenue targets for the OmniCure business in northern California.
  • Be accountable for client support, including but not limited to: installation support, application development and trouble-shooting.
  • Support the southern California agent when required.
  • Proactively develop relationships with key accounts and provide Product Management team with customer feedback on product performance and potential improvements.
  • Retain key accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers and users within an organization. Ideally employ “Miller Heiman Strategic Selling” principles.
  • Conduct strategic account reviews with all assigned customers on a regular basis to review needs and usage trends. Identify products and pricing that meet OmniCure end user needs and objectives.
  • Assist the USA Sales Manager in developing and implementing an annual Sales Business Plan to meet or exceed revenue targets, market share, target market penetration, competitive landscape SWOT analysis.
  • Develop and Interpret monthly sales data and develop strategies to our business in the region.
  • Deliver ongoing market analysis and assessment of competitors and market intelligence with a focus on future value creation.
  • Provide sales and applications support to key customers, at appropriate trade shows and at industry events. Provide hands-on channel partner support through use of effective demonstrations and presentations OmniCure products and the application of that technology.
  • Use the capabilities and engineering resources of the LDGI Applications Group to provide applications solutions selling.
  • Frequent car travel throughout northern California is required depending on level of business activity and home location. Occasional trips to southern California to support our local agent.
  • Regular communication with other operational functions within LDGI (order management and shipping, application engineering, marketing, new product development)

And if you have...

  • 3+ years of sales/ key account management experience in a high growth technology environment with a preference for medical device and/or optoelectronics industry.
  • Technical expertise in the medical device assembly process is an asset.
  • Degree educated — College or University.
  • A good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive client relationships. Must be comfortable working towards defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Ability to foster and maintain customer relationships at various levels within an organization.
  • Must have experience with PC software, Microsoft Office products and including CRM package.
