The new X‑Cite® XLED1 is a revolutionary high-powered LED illumination system that offers an internal pulse generator for high speed multi‑color live cell imaging. Following the recent launch of the revolutionary X‑Cite® XLED1, X‑Cite® has expanded its array of LED modules offering researchers greater flexibility to address a variety of microscopy applications.
With an extensive new offering of simple plug and play LED modules, the X‑Cite® XLED1 is ideal for use in different applications that require the excitation of specific fluorophores. The XLED1 allows researchers to easily replace pre-aligned LEDs with maximum efficiency while benefiting from a broad range of imaging applications including activation of chameleon proteins, FRET interactions, ratiometric calcium imaging, and live cell imaging with the popular green, red and far-red dyes and fluorescent proteins. November 8, 2011 - Integration Technology Limited, Lumen Dynamics, and Phoseon Technology join together to form the UV LED Curing Association. The new association has been established to address a growing need within the market for current and potential researchers, suppliers, integrators and end users to gain a better understanding about UV LED technology and the significant benefits it brings to numerous applications.
The UV LED Curing Association is focused on providing greater insight into the various UV LED solutions currently in the marketplace, as well as into developing applications which are well suited to the technology. One of the goals of the association is to demonstrate how system developers around the world can effectively integrate UV LED technology into applications and, where possible, achieve better efficiencies while saving costs.
The founders of the association will work together to help define and establish UV LED-based guidelines for UV LED curing applications. This goal will become increasingly important as the adoption rate of UV LED technology continues to rise and the need for industry collaboration becomes critical. The association will also serve as a forum for fostering communication within the UV industry in order to facilitate the exchange of information and enable the entire industry to better address market needs. While complimentary to other existing and well established associations, the UV LED Curing Association focuses only on UV LED curing technology and its applications.

Engineered with a single sensor to measure peak irradiance and a unique calibration process for measuring multiple discrete wavelengths, the OmniCure® LED Light Meter is able to capture the narrow spectral distribution of a LED source for consistent and accurate measurements. Process engineers worldwide will now be able to quantify this new, emerging LED technology and its evolution within the UV curing industry. The OmniCure® LED Light Meter is calibrated according to industry standards traceable to NIST and NRC.
